EYFS Home Learning - Week Five

Dear parents and children,

Another week ahead, full of things to be grateful for!

Last week, I particularly enjoyed watching the celebration of Colonel Tom’s 100th Birthday unfold and was deeply inspired, not only by how one person can provoke a wave of achievement that is so vast, but by how nations across the world came to together to rejoice and demonstrate their gratitude in a multitude of ways.
This week I have included activities linked to VE day that you may wish to explore. This historic event and celebration is on the 8th May. For example, you could try out a wartime recipe or choose to design a medal similar to the ones I saw Colonel Tom have bestowed upon him.
I will be thinking of you all, as ever,

Much love, Selina.

The maths and literacy activities this week are mainly themed around the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. I have attached an animated version for you to enjoy as you watch the beautiful butterfly emerge and wave goodbye to being his former self.

Please share the story first before completing the activities you and your child wishes to embark upon.
