Home Learning

Week 14 will be the last week of home learning set by the teachers.

BBC Bitesize - Daily Lessons

You'll find daily lessons for homeschooling in Maths and English for every year group, as well as regular lessons in Science, History, Geography and more.

Dear Parents

As it has become necessary to close the school, teachers will set work to be done at home. This will include ideas of things to do as well as specific pieces of work. Work may also be set on PurpleMash or on Bug Club so please do check to see that your child is able to log on at home.

School day activities will be set on the class home learning webpage, each week - see the links to the right/below.

In addition, Year 6 will be receiving a slightly extended SATs revision pack, to complete at home over Easter, similar to which we do every year!

What can you be doing at home?

  • Aim to have a structure/routine to the day.
  • Plan activities/projects to complete with your child.
  • Talk to your child about activities/projects that they are interested in. What would they like to find out about?
  • Share your timetable for the day with your child.
  • Look for opportunities to build your child’s independence. What learning can they do on their own?
  • Be mindful to limit screen time.
  • Remember to include physical activities - walk, dance, bounce, skate, run etc.
  • Create a space for learning and encourage your child to take responsibility for keeping it clean and tidy.
  • Have fun with learning!
